No-Show Guard

FAQ — No-Show Guard

Direct answers about No-Show Guard: the deposit, the reminders, what isn't live yet, and what it costs. No fine print.

Is the texting live immediately?

No — and that’s disclosed before you pay, not discovered after. Email reminders are the launch path and go live first. Live texting requires carrier (A2P) registration — typically 2–5 business days — and the two text reminders (24 hours and 2 hours before) switch on only when that approval lands AND a live delivery test for your business is on record. Until then the text steps are disabled, not queued quietly. We’ll confirm in writing which channels are live when your system goes live.

How does the deposit work — and is it fair to my customers?

The customer sees the whole policy in plain language before paying anything. The deposit is credited in full at the appointment — it comes off what they owe on the day. It is kept only on a no-show or a cancel inside the window you set (24 hours is typical). Outside that window, nothing is kept: the deposit goes back to the customer’s original payment method through Stripe, on the timing your policy states. You approve the exact wording your customers see, including that return line.

What happens if a customer never pays the deposit?

The slot is held, not confirmed. They get one email halfway through the hold reminding them, with the exact deadline. If the deposit hasn’t landed by then, the hold is released, the slot opens back up, and you’re told. A payment that arrives after the release is recorded and flagged to you; the booking stays released.

What if I don’t want to take deposits?

Then don’t. Run it reminders-only: the deposit step and every word of deposit wording simply never appear, and your customers just get the reminder sequence. Same $99 setup, same $29/mo.

Which booking systems does it sit on top of?

In this version, none. It runs on a booking page we provide, with your services and your availability, and no sync with an outside calendar. Feeding it bookings from another system’s exports or forwarded confirmation emails is a later version and is not part of this offer. If moving booking to the provided page doesn’t work for your business, we’ll tell you before you pay.

Will it cut my no-shows by some percentage?

We don’t claim one. No such data exists for this system, and a made-up number would be exactly that. The case is the mechanism: a deposit with something riding on the slot, a confirmation email, and a reminder email your customers actually see — instead of a booking left to memory.

Where does the deposit money go?

To your Stripe account, through your own Stripe payment link. We never receive it, hold it, or process the card — there is no card field anywhere in this system. Stripe’s standard processing fees on a deposit are Stripe’s, on your account, not marked up by us.

Who gets messaged?

Only people who booked with you, about that booking. No marketing sends, no cold lists, ever. A cancel or reschedule stops or re-times the sequence, and an opt-out stops it for good.

What has to happen before it goes live?

It’s built for your business: your services, your hours, your deposit amount and window, your Stripe payment link, and the reminder wording — which you approve before anything goes live. Then it’s proven on a live test booking through your own setup, with the evidence shown to you. The go-live clock starts when payment, your content, and access are all in — whichever comes last starts the clock.

Is there a contract?

No long contract. $99 setup, then month-to-month at $29/mo. The monthly billing starts when the system goes live on your bookings, not when you sign up. Cancel anytime and you owe nothing further. Live by the date we agree, or your setup fee comes back in full — guaranteed.

Still deciding?

Read the actual messages your customers would get, or start with an email — $99 setup + $29/month, month-to-month, and your monthly billing starts at go-live, not at sign-up.
