No-Show Guard

No-Show Guard

No-Show Guard — for salons, med spas, and cleaning companies whose booked slots sit empty: a small card deposit at booking makes the slot a commitment, and the confirmation and reminder emails go out on their own, so a booking stops depending on the customer remembering.

$99 setup + $29/month — $99 due today; the $29/month starts at go-live, not at sign-up

Month-to-month — cancel anytime, no long contract. Live by the date we agree, or your setup fee comes back in full — guaranteed.

The go-live clock starts when payment, your content, and access are all in — whichever comes last starts the clock. Monthly billing starts when the system goes live on your bookings, not when you sign up.

What it does

  1. A customer books on a booking page we build for your business — your services, your hours, your deposit policy.

  2. They put down a small deposit, an amount you set, through your own Stripe payment link. The money goes to your Stripe account, and card details never touch our system. Until the deposit lands, the slot is held, not confirmed — and the customer is told the deadline up front.

  3. The confirmation email goes out right away, and a reminder email lands two days before the appointment. If the customer cancels or reschedules, the sequence stops or re-times itself. If they opt out, they are never messaged again.

Sample moment

Sample: a customer books a haircut and color for Tuesday at 10:30 AM and puts $20 down. Her confirmation says the slot is held, that the deposit is credited in full when she shows up, and that it is kept only if she no-shows or cancels inside 24 hours. Two days before the appointment, the reminder lands with the same policy in the same plain words.

A sample moment — the business and the customer are made up, from this product's own sample bookings. The real messages, word for word, are on the messages page.

The deposit, in plain words

The deposit is the part that does the work. A customer with money down rearranges their day. A customer with nothing down loses nothing by vanishing. Here is exactly how it treats your customers:

  • Credited in full at the appointment. It comes off what they owe on the day. It is a hold, not an extra charge.
  • Kept only on a no-show, or a cancel inside the window you set — 24 hours is typical. That window is yours.
  • Outside the window, nothing is kept. The deposit goes back to the customer's original payment method through Stripe, on the timing your policy states.
  • Your customer reads the whole policy before paying anything, and you approve the exact wording first. If you wouldn't say it to a regular's face, we don't ship it.
  • If the deposit never lands, the customer gets one reminder email halfway through the hold; then the hold is released, the slot opens back up, and you are told.

Don't want deposits at all? The gate switches off and the reminders still run, at the same price. But the deposit is the mechanism this product is built around.

About the text reminders — the honest asterisk

Two of the reminders in the sequence are text messages: one a day before, one two hours before. They are not live yet, and this page won't pretend otherwise. Live texting requires carrier (A2P) registration, typically 2–5 business days, and the texts stay disabled — not queued quietly — until that registration is approved and a live delivery test for your business is on record. Email runs from day one, and we will tell you in writing which channels are live. The texts are included in the same $29/mo when they switch on; there is no second charge for them.

Who it's for — and who it's not

It's for you if…

  • You book appointments ahead — salon chairs, treatment rooms, cleaning crews — and an empty slot costs you real money.
  • Your reminders today are a sticky note, a hope, or nothing.
  • You already take payment through Stripe, or you're willing to start for the deposits.

It's not for you if…

  • Your bookings are walk-in only. There is no slot to protect.
  • Your booking can't move to the page we provide. This version runs on that page only — if that doesn't work for your business, we'll tell you before you pay.

In this version No-Show Guard does not sit on top of an existing booking system, and it does not sync with an outside calendar. Feeding it bookings from another system's exports is a later version — we won't sell it to you before it exists.

The actual messages, word for word

The confirmation email, the reminder email, and the deposit wording a customer reads before paying — this product's own templates, filled in for one fictional salon booking. Including the two text messages, shown as what they are: templates that stay off for now.

Before go-live

A test booking is a deliverable, not a slogan

Your system is built for your business and proven on a live test booking through your own setup — deposit held, confirmation and reminders observed — with the evidence shown to you before it goes live. Your monthly billing starts at go-live, not at sign-up.

The guarantee, in the terms

The promise on this page is the same one in our terms: live by the date we agree or your setup fee comes back in full. Read it where it's binding, not just where it's selling.

What it deliberately doesn't do

  • It doesn't promise a number. Nobody can honestly tell you "this cuts no-shows by X%" — we have no such data and won't invent one. What's on offer is the mechanism, at a price you can judge against your first month of bookings.
  • It doesn't touch your money. Deposits go through your own Stripe payment link to your own Stripe account. There is no card field anywhere in this system, and we never hold a customer's card details.
  • It doesn't message strangers. Only people who booked with you ever hear from it, and only about that booking. No marketing sends, no cold lists.

Questions

Is the texting live right away?

No — and that's stated before you pay, not discovered after. Email is the launch path. The two text reminders switch on only after carrier (A2P) registration is approved — typically 2–5 business days — and a live delivery test for your business is on record. Until then the text steps are disabled, not queued quietly.

Will it cut my no-shows by some percentage?

We don't claim one. No such data exists for this system, and a made-up number would be exactly that. The case is the mechanism: money down on the slot, and reminders your customers actually see, instead of a booking left to memory.
